Dressing down dresses

I have a lot of dresses, but I sometimes have trouble dressing them down, so that they're more appropriate day-wear. It's easier when it's nice weather in the summer and you can just throw on a little sun-dress and you're good to go. In the winter, it's all about the layering, and jumpers and dresses can actually go really well together. Who knew?!

It's easy to just wear jeans all winter but it can get boring, and anyway, thick tights and a loose fitting dress can be just as warm and often even comfier than jeans. So here's to a much more interesting winter wardrobe!

Anyway, I've had a lovely little weekend so far. Nothing too strenuous, just how I like them. Also, I've been trying to smile more in my outfit photos, have you noticed? I'm just trying to make an effort not to look so moody all the time (in photos, that is - I'm pretty sure I smile a lot more in real life!).
