A somewhat late Day 14: Animals

I have just got in from work and I realised I had completely forgotten to post today's photos, sorry sorry sorry!

The first one is actually just a zoomed in version of the bird photo I took yesterday, I thought it was pretty cool.

Then the ones I actually took today of a squirrel. I was so lucky to get these because squirrels are fast and don't hang around for too long!

Isn't he the cutest?

Anyway, time for bed I think!

Song of the Day: I Don't Feel Like Dancing by Scissor Sisters

Currently reading: I Dreamed of Africa but I am so close to finishing. Honestly. I swear.

Meh

In person, this outfit looks much better than it does in these photos. I took a bunch of photos outside but only ended up with one that I actually liked.

So then I came inside, and didn't like those photos all that much better, which is why there's only three today!

Top (under jumper): Dorothy Perkins
Jumper: New Look
Shorts: Primark
Shoes: Dorothy Perkins

At least the weather finally seems to be improving!

Day 13: Flowers

I was going to do animals today, because there were some really pretty little birds in the garden, but unfortunately every time I moved, even a tiny little bit, they would fly a little bit further away. This is the best shot I could get of one of them.

Nice and blurry.

I am currently home alone as Daf is visiting his parents for a few days, so naturally I think it's a good idea for me to watch a scary movie tonight, on Friday the 13th. Don't worry, I have lots of cushions to hide behind.

Day 12: Candles

Howdy!

Candles are pretty, don't you think so? I think so.

Song of the Day: Home by Sheryl Crow

Currently reading: I Dreamed of Africa. Sigh.

Sunshine on a rainy day...

...makes my soul, makes my soul, trip trip trip away.

What a great song.

Anyway.

Please ignore my ridiculous face
I looooove this cardigan. It is my current favourite colour, so I've been wearing it a lot, even with things it clashes with. Oh well. And look, I'm wearing my comfy jeans again!

Cardigan: Matalan
Floral t-shirt: New Look
Jeans: New Look
Boots: Peacocks
Necklace: Elsie Belle

The weather is driving me insane at the moment. It's alternating between very heavy showers and glorious sunshine every five minutes so I don't know what to do with myself. It doesn't help that my boyfriend has gone to visit his parents for a few days, so I'm wandering around the house all on my lonesome, looking for someone to entertain me, but, alas, there's no one here.

Finally, here's a photo of my very messy half-up hairdo that I am sporting today.

I should totally be a hair stylist.

Day Eleven: My stuffed animals

[One]

[Two]

[Three]

[Four]
One: My stuffed toys, sitting on top of my very dusty wardrobe, poor things. I really should get them down and have a good dust!

Two: This little platypus (who I called Platy) was bought in the gift shop at Taronga Zoo in Sydney. My dad and I had really wanted to see the platypuses (platypi?), but when we got to their enclosure, they were nowhere to be seen, so we came to the conclusion that they don't really exist. Then I bought Platy because he's probably the closest I'm ever going to get to seeing a real platypus.

Three: Sid the zebra!

Four: Bear (left) and Duncan. Daf bought me Duncan the first Christmas we were together (awww), and we got Bear a couple of years ago because he's really cool with his little scarf!

I'm a big fan of my cuddly toys, I don't think I'll ever be able to get rid of any of them.

Anyway, moving away from my photo challenge for a moment, I'm now genuinely concerned that I won't finish my 30 books challenge this year. It's just a lot more books than I thought it was going to be. I'm wishing I had made it only 10 books, then I'd be almost finished by now! I'm going to persevere with it though, because either way, I've already read more books so far this year than I did in 2011 (not counting re-reads). The whole point of this was to get me reading more books that I haven't read before, so at the very least I'll have accomplished that. Reading this back, I seem so defeatist which I don't mean to be. I'm not giving up yet, I reckon it's still just about do-able!

Song of the Day: Blame It On The Weatherman by B*witched. Because it is absolutely tipping it down.

A dress!

I feel like if it wasn't for my tights and cardigan, I'd be blending right into the walls and carpet today. But I couldn't take these photos outside because we've had a lot of rain and I didn't want to get my shoes muddy in the garden. Priorities. But hey, I'm wearing a dress for the very first time on this blog!

Cardigan: New Look
Dress: Matalan
Belt: Dorothy Perkins
Tights: BHS
Shoes: Primark
Necklace: I don't know, a friend gave it to me!

I had to go to a different room to take a photo of my shoes because they are almost the exact colour of the carpet in the dining room where I took my main outfit photos!

Anyway, I hope everybody enjoyed their long weekend, I had to work all of it! Never mind, Easter chocolate more than makes up for it :)
