A revelation

I got up early this morning to do some exercise before I thought the better of it. It was still dark outside as we are stuck in what feels like an eternal winter, and 5 minutes into Jillian Michaels 30-day Shred I was beginning to realise how unfit I am. Also, why do her two mates that help her on the videos smile so much? It's not fun, it's hard. On the plus side, as long as I keep it up, it will get easier. So I'm calling this Day One. Wish me luck.

My reasoning for doing workouts in the morning rather than leaving it until later in the day are that I figure it will make me more productive for the rest of the day. If my alarm goes off at 7 and I get up straight away, I can get ready and do my exercise and be all finished by 8. Then I can have a shower, get some breakfast and a cuppa, and I'm all energised and motivated and ready to take on the world by 9, at the very latest. It's a good plan and I'm determined to stick to it. I really really am.

The only problem with getting so much done so early, is that now it feels like it should be mid to late afternoon, when actually it's only 12.30. Oh well, I'm sure I'll manage to adjust.

In other news, I really want to make these candles, because come on, they look awesome.

Lately I've been...

Reading: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. This was one of the books I was most looking forward to reading out of my 30 books, and so far I haven't been disappointed. It's been a bit slow-going so far (I'm not even halfway yet, oh dear), but when I started it I didn't get a chance to read it much because I wasn't at home, and since then I've only been able to read a chapter or two a night, but I'm going to crack on with it this week.

Watching: Channel 5 have picked up that American show Once Upon A Time and so I started watching that the other night. Initially I wasn't too sure because it just seemed a tad ridiculous, but I persevered and now I'm a little bit in love with it. There's just something so endearing about it, even if it is a bit cheesy/cringeworthy at times. And hey, Robert Carlyle makes a pretty creepy Rumpelstiltskin.

Other than Once Upon A Time, Daf and I are still slowly making our way through Prison Break and The Office (the American version). I love Jim and Pam, they've got to be one of the best written TV couples ever.

Oh, and also, I went to see The Avengers on Tuesday and it is fantastic. Well, it is if you like superheroes, aliens, explosions and stuff. And I do.

Listening to: Nothing obscure, a lot of Blur and The Kooks at the moment. Oooh, and also Two Door Cinema Club, I really love them.

Laughing at: The tumblr blog Sims Gone Wrong. It's basically full of screenshots of glitches in the game that cause some hilarious and also terrifying sims. Check it out for more, but here are some of my favourites.

demon cat

demon baby
Frightening stuff.

Looking forward to: My birthday next month, because the Harry Potter studio tour tickets arrived in the post the other day which got me SUPER excited. I hope there is a gift shop so I can buy Harry Potter merchandise.

Day Seven: Details

I wasn't quite sure what to do for 'details', because it could be details of anything really. So I just decided to look at some of the details in my room and work from there, and here's what I came up with.

[One]

[Two]

[Three]

[Four]

[Five]

[Six]

[Seven]
One and Two: Dream-catcher that hangs in my room. I think my brother bought this for me? I'm not sure!

Three: I've had this for as long as I can remember. I love it because it's true, girls are best. It's cute too.

Four: This is actually a fridge magnet that I blue-tacked to my wall. My brother definitely got me this one when he was in holiday in Greece or somewhere, he knows me so well!

Five: My ticket from when me, Soph and Lydia went to see Wicked for Soph's birthday. I'm not usually particularly sentimental about holding onto tickets, but I thought this one was cool!

Six: My friend Lauren made this for me, inspired by the Edward Monkton cartoon.

Seven: When I was 19 I spent Christmas in Sydney with my family, but my mum and I left before my dad, and I think he gave these to my brother to give to me when he got back to the UK. I love sharks so I think these are pretty awesome! The one in the middle is my favourite.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Easter weekend! I have to work, boooo.

Clear-out

This morning I have had to be ruthless. These are all the clothes that I am giving away.

I've been meaning to sort out my wardrobe for ages now and I've finally gotten around to it. I've had to say goodbye to a lot of jeans that I really love but that just don't fit me anymore. I've had to ask myself whether it's really necessary for me to have ten hoodies. Also going is the Snoopy t-shirt I've had for about seven years. I'm now in the market for a new Snoopy t-shirt. I've gotten rid of a lot of things that I really like, but just don't wear anymore, or can't wear anymore because they don't fit.

All in all, it's been a sad day. However, look how tidy my wardrobe is!

Finally I will be able to find things!

Also I've been looking around on Etsy at art prints, and there are several that I really want.

Currently reading: Still The Hobbit, I've been a bit rubbish lately, need to get a move on if I want to stay on track! 3o is a lot of books.

Good afternoon, world.

A few days ago I had a massive clear-out of my belongings, put a bunch of old clothes in a charity bag to make space for the clothes I like, got rid of lots of old letters and things, and generally tried to make my tiny bedroom resemble something...tidy. Whilst going through the plethora of crap in the drawers under my bed, I found a few folders and workbooks from when I was at school. A few of them were projects from when I was in years 5 and 6, but the majority of it was drawings and writing excersises from year 2 and below. I went through it all, just to reminisce and you know, for laughs. I am going to share with you a story I wrote. I can't have been more than six when I wrote this, in fact I think I was probably younger.

Once upon a time There
lived a ugly big giant
and he stampd his feet alot
he lived in a cave sometimes he
went to sleep
the giants name was Tom
but one day he was cross.

I was clearly born to be a writer.

I copied it down exactly as it was written, and as you can see, there's not a whole lot of plot to it. There was an illustration to go with it, but it's just awful, all of the proportions were wrong. I'm ashamed of my childhood self.

In other news, here's some cool things I found on t'internet!

Found this on Google Images and thought it was awesome, I think it might be from that Epic Mickey game or something.

I love Lost and the fact that someone has a tattoo of John Locke's face along with the words he uses so often is absolutely hilarious. "DON'T TELL ME WHAT I CAN'T DO!" I also found this on Google Images, and it's on a bunch of people's Tumblrs as well.

This is some awesomely creepy Peter Pan concept art which I again found on Google Images but I think this is the original source with the illustrator: http://saryth.deviantart.com/art/Peter-pan-132693284

Finally, here's a scary fish. Found on Google Images obviously.

I'd better go and do something productive now.

I'm loving: My parents will be back in a few days so I won't be a loney loner anymore.

I'm hatin': The sun has gone and I'm so cooooooooooooooold.
