Only joking, procrastinating is exactly what I'm doing. My mind is a swirl of dissertation (I hate hate hate it), but it is SO close to being out of my life. So that I don't have to think too much, this blog-post is going to be made up of some of my favourite movie quotes.
In no particular order:
Martin, it's all psychological. You yell barracuda, everybody says, "Huh? What?" You yell shark, and we've got a panic on our hands on the fourth of July. - Jaws
That ain't no Etch-a-Sketch. This is one doodle that can't be un-did, homeskillet. - Juno
I think we both said some things we didn't mean, like... when you broke up with me... on my b-day. - Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist
You don't know what it's like to be straight, OK? It's awful. - Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist
Sam: It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam?
Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fighting for. - The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Marriage is like a tense, unfunny version of Everybody Loves Raymond, only it doesn't last 22 minutes. It lasts forever. - Knocked Up
There's loads more but that'll do for now, my brain has ceased to function.
Song of the Day: Magic America by Blur
